Yes, it’s that time again! Nominations are open for Podcast Awards 2009! If you love listening to podcasts, it’s time to get to work and start nominating your favorite podcasts at Podcast.Awards.com. If you’re in need for suggestion, or perhaps you’re not sure about the URL address of the podcast you support, you can always hop over to the Podcasts tab on this blog.
Please note that you can only submit the nomination form ONCE. The same show is not to be nominated for multiple categories within the same submission. Get more details at Podcast.Awards.com.
P.S.: If you’re a supporter of SQPN, I suggest you wait for Father Roderick’s “official” suggested nominations list. Meanwhile, let’s work together to try and bring this to Father’s attention. The poor padre is so loaded with work that I think he missed my plurk last night.
Hurray! SQPN has added 3 new shows to it’s stellar line-up of fantastic Catholic podcasts! Woo hoo!
ROSWELL, GA – To wrap up a summer of fun and gear up for the fall season of new activities, the Star Quest Production Network proudly announces the addition of three new podcasts to the SQPN family. Each show casts a unique spin on how Catholics live their lives. They serve the growing interest, not only in Catholic living, but in living well.
“In answer to the Church’s call for evangelization via the new media, SQPN is constantly searching for ways to reach out to new audiences,” says Fr. Roderick Vonhogen, founder and CEO of the Star Quest Production Network.
“The three new shows in our line-up do exactly that: Pat Gohn’s ‘Among Women’ reaches out to women, while Nick and Pat Padley cater to young adults with ‘In Between Sundays’, and Jeff Young, ‘the Catholic Foodie’ targets people that love to share faith and good food with friends and family.”
Again, I was unable to make it to the 2nd annual Catholic New Media Celebration (CNMC) in San Antonio, Texas, last weekend. Thankfully, Father Roderick and gang have it all covered and recorded on uStream, so I was able to catch up with most of the talks. But somehow, the “super-hilarious” opening by Mac Barron of Catholic in a Small Town fame was nowhere to be found among the recorded uStream videos. Here it is now, on YouTube. *Scandalous*, if you ask me!
Are you a Catholic? Do you consider yourself cool? Are you on Twitter? If your answer was “Yes“ for all 3 questions, you might wanna get yourself listed on Father Roderick’s list of Cool Catholics on Twitter! Just leave Father your name, your full Twitter url, and a brief description of yourself in the comments section.
The results of Podcast Awards 2008 has just been released. Winners of all the categories, except for Peoples Choice and Best Produced, were announced via a live uStream session. SQPN won 4 of the 10 categories, out of the 7 nominations they had! Hurray!
Congratulations to Father Roderick, Father Leo, George Leite, and all the other folks involved in the production of the above AWARD WINNING podcasts! Let me make special mention here that Daily Breakfast has won the Religion Inspiration category for 3 years running, while Catholic Rockers has won the PodSafe Music category for 2 years in a row. Great job guys!
blessed are the beautiful..
they’ve been gifted with good looks without having to work hard for it
blessed are the lazy..
they disregard the secular pursuit of beauty and live in a happy world of their own
cursed are the diligent..
they are relentless in their pursuit of beauty and in the process, waste time, money and energy, where they could’ve been used other more meaningful matter
good times..
are spent with good friends,
over (relatively) good food,
talking about the good old days,
sharing lots of good news..
